LARS introduces a new polymer composite molded rifle
About us
The development process began with chemical engineering. Expected performance requirements dictated the selection of the primary material. Robustness, chemical stability, and vibration absorption were among the key properties considered during the chemical blending of the composite material. The development of this new rifle model, including all associated testing, took one year.
The new LARS rifle design meets the most stringent requirements for professional and high-end sporting rifle systems. The forend provides ample clearance to allow for free-floating barrels and enables the easy installation of approximately 98% of the barrels available on the market today. LARS rifles for the Remington 700 and similar platforms are our best-selling items, but we also offer “blank” chassis (without internal inletting for a specific action), allowing shooters to adapt this platform to almost any rifle system.
LARS continues to develop and test new materials for this demanding market and will progressively introduce further innovations on the new FSX Gen. II and TCX Gen. II chassis. One of our primary goals is to replace components commonly manufactured from AA7075 aircraft-grade aluminum with new titanium composite components, which offer superior stress resistance and enhanced functionality. This focus on innovation and advanced materials goes hand in hand with our mission to maximize product quality while minimizing the costs of our newly developed modular and fully adjustable rifle platform (LARS).
It is suitable for military and law enforcement purposes, as well as sports shooting in all disciplines that permit the use of such rifles. Built on a lightweight aluminum alloy chassis featuring a compact receiver, trigger unit, pistol grip, and a fully adjustable side-folding stock with a rear monopod, LARS represents a new generation of polymer composite weaponry.
This allows the shooter to customize the stock to their physical build, including length of pull (LOP) and cheek weld, thereby improving ergonomics and reducing fatigue. The folding stock enables more compact storage, easier transport, and better concealment during movement, should a situation require covert operations. The LARS forend is equipped with detachable and position-adjustable Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny rails for accessory mounting.
The author examined and reviewed the majority of such systems and platforms and decided to take the best features from each. Combined with his experience in industrial design and artistic aesthetics, he merged them into the most versatile system possible, now simply known as LARS.
